Thermory's SHP thermo alder bench boards bring a warm, hazel-brown surface and subtle texture to sauna seating. The SHP profile is the standard for sauna benches: a rectangular section with radiused corners, here finished with a smooth R3 (3 mm) edge, while the full 28 mm thickness keeps the boards flat and resists warping and twisting over time. Like other heat-treated timbers, thermo alder carries a low risk of warping, will not splinter and does not overheat in sauna temperatures. Boards are 140 mm wide and sold in packs of four in 2100 mm or 2400 mm lengths; we recommend a 15% wastage allowance.
