Cookie Policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on this website, why they are used, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our privacy policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — pixels, local storage and device fingerprinting — do comparable jobs. In this policy "cookies" covers all of them.

The legal position

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), read with the UK GDPR, we may only place cookies on your device without consent where they are strictly necessary for a service you have asked for. Everything else — analytics, advertising, personalisation — needs your consent first, and that consent must be as easy to withdraw as it was to give.

What we currently use

Strictly necessary (no consent required)

These make the shop work and cannot be switched off. They remember what is in your basket, keep you signed in, secure the checkout, prevent fraud and balance traffic across servers. Most are set by Shopify, which hosts this store. Without them you could not complete a purchase.

Your own browser storage

The "recently viewed" strip on product pages keeps a short list of product names in your own browser's local storage. That list never leaves your device, is not sent to us or to anyone else, and is not used to build a profile of you. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Analytics and advertising

We use Google’s advertising and measurement tags, added through Shopify’s Google & YouTube app, to measure the performance of our Google Shopping adverts. These tags are loaded through Shopify’s customer privacy controls, which ask for your consent through the cookie banner before marketing and analytics tracking runs. We do not currently use a Meta (Facebook) pixel. If we add other tracking or advertising tags, we will update this page first.

You can change your cookie choices at any time by clearing this website’s cookies in your browser; the cookie banner will then appear again on your next visit.

Managing your choices

You can control cookies in your browser settings, including deleting cookies already stored and blocking new ones. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the basket and checkout working.

Changes

If we add or remove tools that set cookies, we will update this page. It was last reviewed on 17 October 2026.
