This movable bench element from Thermory is a ready-made thermo aspen platform that suits almost any sauna bench arrangement and slots neatly into a DIY build. It measures 657 mm long by 400 mm wide and stands 300 mm high, and because it is freestanding it can be repositioned whenever the layout changes. Thermo aspen is created by heat-treating the timber naturally, lowering its moisture content to give a tough, rot-resistant structure that releases no resin in the heat and humidity of the sauna. The result is a straight, knot-free grain with a honey-brown colour and a pleasant, toasted scent, an easy timber to maintain and a stylish one to live with.

Do I need an electrician?
Yes for hard-wired equipment. Electric sauna heaters, steam generators, controllers and sauna lighting must be installed by a qualified electrician in line with BS 7671 and the manufacturer's instructions. Check the electrical requirements in the product description before ordering.
